SegoviActiva is the name we have given from the Council of Economic Development, Employment and Innovation to our Government Action. Also, SegoviActiva is also a goal. It is the commitment of the city of Segovia within a city, and able to cope with their present and future with economic dynamism necessary, to generate new quality employment opportunities. Quality employment for its current residents and for all those who wish to be here in the future.
Along with the sectors of Tourism and Culture, in which the city is already a National and European reference, SegoviActiva works by completing our economic activity with a productive sustainable model, based mainly on the development of the economy associated with the University and the creation and attraction of new companies with high value added, mainly related to technology, culture and sectors with high growth potential.
To do this, we carry out an intense are to promotion the City of Segovia as a place of investment, while we encourage entrepreneurship in our city and offer the support and necessary impulse to enterprises and local institutions, with special interest in the University, Industry and Trade. A job that intends to work in close collaboration with local economic institutions and complete with specific training programs, geared to the new needs of the labour market.
We will not forget the most vulnerable groups and at risk of exclusión, which we offer specific programs for integration into the labor market from our local expertises. A group in which we devote all the attention and guidance that they deserve. For us a sustainable economic model, can only be so if not anyone is left behind.
Innovation is the main raw material of our time. In the new global economic context and that logically, it affects also our City of Segovia, the societies and also cities, capable of being transformed into innovative spaces and the promotion of talent, they will gain a better future for its people. Therefore we encourage all innovative activity in our city with a transversal action involving all areas of the Town Hall, as well as offering all kinds of information and orientation to the society.
All this work we are doing this in order to achieve a city that generates wealth, but also be able to distribute it and convert it into employment and opportunities. A city of progress and well-being. A city, to which we dedicate all our daily effort and, undoubtely thanks to the efforts of all their neighbours and neighbours, is already increasingly active.

José Bayón López
City councillor of Economic Development, Employment and Innovation
Born in 1978, he is married and has a son. He is an Engineer for the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and a Production and Logistics Engineer for the Technical University of Munich in Germany (TUM).
His professional background has been developed as an Engineer at different companies in Germany and Spain, such as Daimler AG, Airbus, General Electric or General Dynamics. Master’s degree in Political Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), he is member of the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) since 2003, where he has held different positions in local and regional committees.
At present he is a municipal and provincial member of the executives of the Segovia’s PSOE and member of the Federal Advice for the Industrial and Energy Transition of the PSOE
